On the occasion of World Children’s Day, the Ministry and its partners organise numerous events throughout the country every year during the month of November.
Children’s Conference (CHICO)
The Children’s Conference (CHICO) brings together children aged 8 and upwards and their childcare assistants each year to discuss the topics of ‘participation’, ‘democracy’ and ‘children’s rights’.
Complex questions are explained in a simple way so that you can freely express your point of view and make yourself better heard.

The Deng Zukunft Deng Stëmm creative competition
The Deng Zukunft - Deng Stëmm (Your future, your voice) creative competition took place for the third time in 2023 on the topic of ‘Climate change and the future of our planet’, organised by the Ministry and UNICEF:
The democracy train
Pour la Journée mondiale de l’enfance, le Zentrum fir politesch Bildung (ZpB) organise le Train de la démocratie en collaboration avec le Kannermusée Plomm, la Chambre des Députés et la Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois (CFL) et Luxtram.
Around a hundred children in cycles 3 and 4 from various municipalities in Luxembourg take the train to Luxembourg City to visit the Chamber of Deputies. They share their ideas and aspirations with members of the Chamber using life-sized cardboard figures that they created at school.
