You have the right to play
You have the right to run, dream, let your mind wander, chill out and relax to grow and thrive. You have the right to have fun and do things that you enjoy! Playing, doing sport and experimenting with art are good for you and enable you to develop new talents. Very often, being bored helps you to find better ideas, and exercising is good for you.
! Playing gets your brain working
When you play, you come up with clever tricks and strategies and you learn to follow instructions. Relaxing and resting makes your mind and body stronger. Laughing makes you happy. After all, they say laughter is the best medicine.
What does that mean?
You don’t have enough time to relax if your day is too full of activities, with school, maison relais, homework, training sessions, music classes, chores, etc.
Talk about this with your parents or the people who look after you to plan your week better. Together, you can find some moments to enjoy some free time.
! The government makes every effort to ensure that all children have the same chances
For example, music classes are free for all young people in Luxembourg. The municipalities and the National Youth Service (SNJ) organise a whole host of sporting and cultural activities so that children can enjoy themselves and go on holiday.
